Just finished reading a bedtime story to the offspring, and she said, “The end!” as she carried the book back to its place. I rarely say that, so I asked, “Where did you learn that?” The response I got back was, “From nobody! I know it all by myself.”

One of the interesting things about using only the non-dominant societal language with your kid, is that you really narrow down the potential sources of vocabulary. I’m guessing he learned it from Dora or my folks, or maybe me and I just don’t remember saying it.
